Rivendell
Isaiah Rivendell
PERSONALITY He started off lost, but over time found himself. Found his strengths and weaknesses and owned up to it. He is constantly bettering himself and tries to help those around him. He is far from a saint. Izzi has a short temper at times. He tends to allow things to build up inside him instead of just expressing himself every time he feels hurt. His personality was formed from his long life experience, from being raised by a family he knew deep down wasn't his birth family to finding himself on an island with other lost boy, breaking the hold that pan's pipe held on him and escaping with pirates. There will always be bits an pieces of him from those experiences crying out for attention, but as of today he enjoys the simpler things in lie. He enjoys making things out of wood (including shoes) and taking care of the all boys orphanage in New York City until he moved into Storybrook. HISTORY Isaiah was told he was born on a ship owned by his family, which explained his love for water and ships. The truth was he was given up, his actual mother had given birth to him and his twin brother Graham, but Isaiah have never come across this information and for a good time believed he had Rivendell blood. His father was a fisherman, who in-between fishing would take travelers across sea for a pricey fee. His mother attended to him, his sisters, and household needs. Isaiah's two sisters named Aredhel and Arwen were not always the nicest. Arwen had her nice streaks, but when around Aredhel it was like her personality completely changed. When Izzi became eight, he started to notice the differences in appearance between himself and his family. The first thing he noticed was his hair had more curl to it. The second thing he noticed was his height in comparison to that of his father. The third thing he noticed was his eyes. He started to internally question himself, whether he was over reacting. As he started questioning his relationship to the people he thought were his family, the bullying of his oldest sister as well as her friends and the pressure of trying to keep his father proud of him became overwhelming. One night the sound of a flute hit his ears and he had to follow it. The music made all the anxiety just melt away and he needed to have it in his life. The next morning he was gone from the Enchanted Forest and on an island called Neverland. Peter Pan had convinced him and other boys that their life would be better here, no rules, no pressure, just adventure. Izzi wasn't sure at first, but then Peter played his pipe and everything Pan had said registered. This island was going to be the best thing that happened to Izzi or so that was his mindset at the time. He wasn't sure how long he was on that island before Pan's flute had no control over him. Izzi had started to dream about the world outside of this island, started to gain more confidence in himself, and as a result he could finally see that Pan had been controlling him and the other boys with the help of the flute. He pretended to be obedient until he was able to make an escape by hiding on a pirates ship. The pirates did not find him until they had reached the seas out skirted The Enchanted Forest. Isaiah, now use to being called Izzi by the lost boys, used his quick thinking to show his usefulness to the pirates. He stayed on with the pirates till he looked the age of 17. It was during his time with the pirates that he realized just how many years went by while he was on the island and that he was actually older than he looked. He felt it was simpler to just say he was the age he looked and has never admitted to his real age. Currently, he wouldn't be able to tell you his real age because he lost track of the number. As a pirate, Izzi helped steal, but not in the normal pick pocket way. No, Izzi used his smarts to trick people out of their money and clothes willingly. Through out his years on the ship he learned navigation skills and 8/10 times he could predict accurately how bad of a storm was heading their way. He kept his head in check under pressure and started to grow numb to death of crew members being tossed over board. A portal opened up in the seas one day and the ship ended up in Wonderland, more specifically outside of Agrabah. This is where Izzi left the crew and spent the next ten years of his life. He found himself a place to sleep and sold goods he didn't need in the market place. During his spare time he started to learn how to make things out of wood. He ended up traveling for hours to get a hold of wood in the forest. During one of his trips to the woods he ran into some gypsies who told him to stop cutting the trees down or they would place a curse on him. He had to do something for money and explained this to group. In exchange for his cooperation with the trees they taught him how to sew and gave him fabrics to start off with. It wasn't something that he was very good at and it took a lot of time and practice to make something even a little descent looking. In fact a girl at the market felt so bad for him she couldn't help but laugh, apologize, and then buy on of his make shift cloth bags. This same girl came back to the market at least once a month and bought something from him. He started to try to make himself appear better, less dirty, cleaner outfits in order to impress her. Yet, he never did approach her for fear of rejection. The two became good friends and he eventually introduced her to another friend of his. After he introduced her to his friend he saw less of both of them. He found himself aggravated with himself and to release steam he traveled to the forest and chopped down wood forgetting about what the gypsies had told him. As soon as the tree hit the ground the wind began to pick up and the dirt began to move in circles until he was swallowed by the ground, only to awaken in a strange place with a lot of noise. He would later come to realize he was in a placed called New York City, a land with magical machines that take you across long distances, and everyone seemed to yell a lot. He felt lost all over again, like he had when he was younger, but after a few hours the pirate side of him took over. This was just new lands to be discovered, an adventure. He found work in a shop that created things out of wood and lived in a small apartment around the corner from the shop. Isaiah eventually found himself working at an all boys orphanage where he helped the kids make sure they didn't feel lost or invaluable. He went on a few dates ever six or so months, but none of them every stuck. He couldn't tell them who he really was because he couldn't tell them where he was from with out sounding crazy. Izzi didn't believe in relationship based on lies. More recently he decided to take what humans of this realm called a vacation. He had learned there were other states outside of this magical city of tall buildings and loud noises, but never actually tried to explore them. Isaiah is now finding himself in a city where others from the Enchanted Forest live. Can he readjust from a harsh city life to that filled with magic? We'll find out. RP SAMPLE There wasn't anything else the boy from the Enchanted Forest could do. He sat in the field and looked up at the stars wondering what life was like back at home. Did the people he called family notice he was missing? Did his sisters even care that he wasn't around? Part of him felt the younger of the two sisters, Arwen, might have cared. The thoughts of his family that might have not actually been his birth family faded away as his attention went back to the stick he was shaping into an arrow. He was so focused on the design and thinking of how it might look flying through the trees that he hadn't heard pan's flute. Isaiah had become interested in bettering himself and creating things that he hadn't realized that Pan's flute had no influence on him at first. His head picked up as he saw one of his fellow lost boys headed back to base camp and then another one. Getting to his feet, Izzi placed the arrow in a bush before following the boys back toward Peter. Over the last two weeks of being free from Pan's influence, Izzi learned he would have to play a part. He could tell there was darkness in Pan and even worse in Pan's shadow. The only thing he could do is wait for an opportune moment to escape without Pan realizing. How does a lost boy find themselves found again? That was the question that he had been pondering before his family came to his mind. It seemed impossible to get off this island, but little did he know the meeting he was about to attend was to inform them of pirates in the area. |
