Victor was feeling very nervous as he pulled up to the diner. He sighed as he parked the car and got out, looking himself over. He had one a nice shirt and blazer, just to make himself look a bit more respectable than normal. Not that he was ever poorly dressed, of course, but a tie and a lab coat didn't exactly scream 'I'm on a date with a pretty girl'. Anyway, considering how pretty Ruby was, he needed to make sure he looked presentable in comparison.
Straightening his blazer, he sighed softly, moving up to the diner before taking a moment at the door to compose himself. It wasn't like it was any different than a normal date, right? They were just going to a movie and dinner- he didn't need to be nervous. He'd done it a thousand times. He just needed to relax. Especially since he was standing in front of the door of an open diner and if he wasn't careful, people would run into him trying to leave.
So he finally entered, offering Granny the same cocky smile as always. He asked her if Ruby was ready to go, and not only did she fail to answer him, but she went out of her way to face him and give him a highly withering stare.
It seemed she wasn't terribly keen on him going anywhere with Ruby. He cleared his throat somewhat awkwardly, his smile failing just a little bit as he moved to sit down at the counter.
"I'll, uh, I'll just wait here then, I guess," he whimpered to the bad ass grandmother, who gave him another, slightly less threatening look. He was going to take that as a sign that she didn't completely hate him, even though she didn't particularly like him, either.
