It was time for a rampage, it seemed. A large three-headed dog had certainly been given that memo, at least. It was currently charging through the streets, howling and snarling as it leaped at cars and frantic people, its many teeth and claws looking for flesh to connect with. The citizens of Storybrooke were running for their lives, seeking shelter in the nearby buildings all around the main shopping district of the town. Most, of course, sought shelter inside Granny's Diner, which was always open to house people when all hell broke loose.

And, this time, hell had LITERALLY broken loose, considering this creature had come from the Underworld.

It was known as Cerberus, the gate keeper of the Underworld. Its usual job was to protect the entrance to the Underworld, and keep the dead from leaving. Naturally, it was also meant to keep anyone from entered the place, too, but it was so much rarer that anyone thought to come for a visit. The creature had guarded its post for a long time, and had not had many problems concerned the dead heading out of his master's domain. Until Emma and her band of heroes had arrived.

With so many of the dead now back among the living, it was fairly obvious why the creature was there, right? To bring the dead back to the Underworld where they belonged? However, it seemed that was not the intention of the creature at all.

He had already encountered some of the escaped members of the Underworld and had treated them no differently than the beings who were rightfully living- he attacked blindly and wildly at the whole lot of them, as though it didn't matter who or what he killed and sent back to the Underworld. Much like the other creatures that had attacked the town, the massive beast seemed wild and unintelligent, though normally the three-headed mutt had three brains to work between when figuring out what should and shouldn't leave the Underworld. It was as though something had snapped, and the inner animal had been allowed to take over completely.

Even Hades himself wouldn't be able to command the creature now.

But if he wasn't there to do his job, why was he there in the first place? And what did it mean for the people of Storybrooke?

[Welcome to the first group open RP for the Underworld plot! To defeat Cerberus, heroes (and potentially villains) must ban together to fight the massive three headed dog! He's about as large as a bus and the only way to kill him is for all three heads to be attacked at once. It's up to you who might know this or if it's discovered through the course of the fight! Mortal weapons and magic can kill this creature, as long as the three heads die at once. One person may NOT kill the creature alone, but other than that, go nuts!

A posting order will be established based on when people join the RP. I will keep track of the order (if need be) here on the front page. If you do not post for two days, you will be skipped! You may jump back in when your turn rolls around again though, so don't worry!

Merlin felt guilty that he had cheated death, like many other people. It was something that was unnatural. But it was something that had happened. He had broken a law of magic. Merlin knew that it wasn't entirely his fault, but he could help but feel like he had done something evil to come up here. Merlin had been in Storybrooke a few times, but under the alias of Yen Sid. His apprentice would probably be here as well, so he'd have to come look for him when the time was right.

But Merlin suddenly stopped. There was a massive three-headed dog headed straight for him. He was in a rampage, knocking cars and people into buildings. This was Merlin's chance, to save the town like he did when he had no worries of evil or outer threats. Vortigan, nor Nimue seemed to be nowhere in sight. He loved Nimue still, and Emma had told him that she sensed that Nimue still had a bit of love for him, under all of the darkness that took her over. It was hard for him to believe this, as Nimue had always been difficult to sense. He couldn't even see what the future would be for them. He did not see any of the chaotic events coming.

But he definitely foresaw the Cerberus coming into town to kill people, even innocent people who hadn't died yet. The concept of morality was different in the Underworld. And the fact that a piece of the Underworld had come into the living world made things seem even more chaotic. There was discord that even Merlin couldn't control at this point. He had his powers back, but how? He figured that the Excalibur still could control him, but there was a small chance that it couldn't, since his name was no longer on it.

Cerberus began getting closer and closer to Merlin. He quickly used a shielding spell that blasted the creature backwards. It recoiled, but he knew that it would soon come for him, since he did mark its attention. Merlin just wanted everyone else to be safe. He wouldn't be able to kill it on his own, he needed 2 other people. Merlin had encountered Cerberus multiple times while travelling to the Underworld, but was able to pacify it. Here, it was under an angry rage because it had been threatened. "Hell-beast, it isn't in your place to kill the living, but to protect the Underworld. You are not doing the job you were tasked, and for that, you must be punished." Sure, Merlin could only use his magic for good, but vanquishing the hell-beast would be a heroic task. It threatened the innocent lives of Storybrooke, and that was not okay.
