PERSONALITY
As an evil queen and villain, Regina was ruthless, cunning, and sought to destroy anyone that got in her way including little Snow White after she spilled a secret. She cared very little for anyone, but herself being quite narcissistic in those years where her only motives were to do harm to others. She held very little dear to her heart and killed without much thought including her own father in the need for vengeance. Manipulative and a master of trickery, Regina was a force to be reckoned with, ruling her people with fear and hatred. Even after taking over Storybrooke, she was cold, distant and it seemed almost incapable of love, but for a child, she raised as her own named after the father she murdered. He was perhaps the one light in her heart of darkness though it did little to ease that inner demon. She is certainly a force to be reckoned with and will let nothing stand in the way of what she is hoping to accomplish. Still she's not perfect and as it turns out is starting to see more clearly than she has before. Especially with her finally getting a happy ending, things have started to look up for her highness. As such she has begun the process of redeeming herself in the eyes of everyone else.
HISTORY
Before Season 1
It was her mother that would start a set of chain reactions to which would lead Regina down into a spiral of darkness. Her mother had never truly been kind to Regina growing up, prepping her into her idea of royalty. She was taught manners, etiquette, and just about everything there was to know about royalty. She was always going on about her own broken future and how she wished better for her darling daughter though she didn't yet know how far her mother would go to procure sure things. Regina though cared little for being a princess spending her days riding her horse and fooling around in the stables. Her mother greatly disproved of such behavior and tried to stamp it out of her. It was in the stables though that she found herself falling for a young lad named Daniel, who tended to the horses of her family estate. She was touched by his caring nature and he was able to give her great tips about riding even if she never seemed able to impress her mother. Unfortunately due to her mother's ideas of love they have to keep their love a secret, despite what they both might want instead. Unbeknownst to Regina, Cora has found herself a target and uses King Leopold's daughter as a gateway to her daughter taking the throne. As it was, Regina had been out riding and just been talking to Daniel when she was caught off guard, by a young girl on a runaway horse.
Acting quickly, Regina gets on her horse and manages to pull the little girl onto her own horse before any harm comes to her. Returning the girl to her father he is overjoyed at the fact that his little girl was saved and surprisingly proposes to Regina who is shocked and upset by the news. She says nothing as her mother sneakily accepts on her behalf, later meeting with Daniel to discuss the turn of events and beg him to take her away. He gives her a ring of his own, they kiss until Regina catches Snow running away and quickly chases after her. She explains to Snow that she doesn't love her father the same way she loves Daniel, asking her to keep it a secret between them. What seems like a solved matter quickly becomes a nightmare when her mother catches her and Daniel getting ready to leave. It seems dear little Snow had betrayed her trust and Regina watched in horror as her lover's heart was ripped from his body and crushed into a pile of ash. Regina was horrified as she rushed to Daniel's side, yelling at her mother as she once more informs her of the opportunity standing before her. She attempts to leave at one point but is stopped by her mother who then takes matters into her own hands and comes in contact with Rumplestiltskin. It was he who filled her head with dark thoughts, hardening her into the dark queen she'd later come to be known as. It was him that set her on a path to darkness, starting with pushing her mother into an enchanted mirror.
Despite what she says to Rumplestiltskin, she finds magic quite thrilling and agrees to become his apprentice as her mother once did before. Course, she was still sworn to marry the King, though it was to be a loveless marriage with neither really committing themselves to the relationship. So in between her duties as Queen and playing stepmother to Snow, Regina takes magic lessons hoping to use this power to bring Daniel back. Sadly though it appears as though she cannot. Yet, a man by the name of Jefferson suggests another way. As it stands, they bring about a doctor by the name of Viktor though the attempts prove to be a failure and thus dies her chances of love. Seeing her mentor with another apprentice, she becomes outraged and rips the girl's heart out to prove to him that she has it in her. As the days wore on, it became clear that Regina was doomed to an unhappy life knowing the King cared little for her compared to his precious daughter. It is after cancelling a magic lesson with Rumple that she meets a fairy named Tinkerbell who claims that she can find someone who can be Regina's second chance of love. Against her fairy laws, she steals pixie dust and attempts to help Regina, who cowardly turns and leaves only catching the tattoo on his arm. It is later on that she helps Maleficent with her own problems after learning that she possesses magic of her own. She ends up giving Regina a small dose of her sleeping curse which she uses on Snow's horse.
A couples years into their relationship and Regina is greeted by a man who so happens to be a Genie. She manipulates him into helping her kill her husband, claiming that she wants to be with him. Instead, she wants nothing of him merely only a means of killing him without laying a finger on her husband. He cannot bear to be without her and ends up cursing himself to become the magic mirror that her tale is so famous for. She later pretends to mourn the dear man's life in an attempt to gain's Snow's trust while she plots something much more sinister. As it stands, she decides to make a deal with the feared Huntsman in hopes that he can do what others cannot. He like so many others before him failed her miserably and in a fit of anger she rips out his heart in place of what should have been Snow White's. A couple little things interfere in her plan like her dear mother trying to get a child and her father being kidnapped by the Queen of hearts, but she handles them in stride. Her hatred of Snow continues to grow every day since the girl ran off and at one point is nearly killed in an attempt to understand their love of her. Course, she's saved by the bane of her existence given she's got a peasant disguise but is surprised by their talk. Things seem to change for a brief moment until they come upon a village of slaughtered people.
Further chaos ensues when she finds herself confronted by Rumpelstiltskin's servant girl who appears to have fallen for the Dark one. Manipulative as always, she suggests that the girl give Rumple a kiss in her own sneaky way which only serves to get her thrown out and later into Regina's welcoming committee who brings her to her tower. A little talk with Rumple after telling him that his precious servant killed herself and things were looking pretty good. Yet her hunt for Snow White continues even as she sidelines as Ursula the Sea-Witch to toy with a certain red hair mermaid. Not to mention the finding of two young children, attempting to adopt them as her own, only to turn them away when they choose their father over her. However, things eventually are back underway when she learns of Snow falling for a certain Prince Charming of her own. Though she tried many times to break the couple apart, it was clear that she would be unable to do so in this world. Not while the people still followed Snow's lead and ultimately attempt to get her to see the error in her ways. Regina doesn't give in though and she spends the next couple of years hashing out a plan to make everyone miserable. It takes a bit of careful planning and a failed attempt before she finally gets her end result sending everyone to the Modern World along with her as their mayor and none of them having their memories. What should have been a revenge well deserved, turned out not exactly according to plan.
Season 1
She became easily bored by the same mundane little town and it's people until some strangers came into their little town. It was this charming father and son duo that made Regina wish very much for her own. When she couldn't convince their family, she sought out Mr. Gold who procured her a son of her own who she named Henry. Henry was the one little light in her otherwise dark heart, falling for the sweet boy even if he did turn out to be the savior's son. Which did nothing to endear the woman to the blonde girl that went by the name of Emma. If anything, Regina tried hard to cling to the spell that had brought them here in the first place, doing anything to rid them of her presence. True, her victory hadn't gone quite exactly like she may have liked, but this was still her town and so she continued to press the matters. Doing everything in her power to keep Emma from fulfilling the prophecy and taking her son away from her. Even killing Graham when it was clear that he was beginning to remember parts of his life, not to mention that Emma had gotten under his skin. So of course, she'd had to kill him like she did with those that got in her way, despite that it only seemed to push Henry away.
It seemed no matter how she handled the blonde, she always had a way of fixing it. Running interference in the most unexpected sort of ways and only furthering her need to get rid of her. And yet for all the pushing it did, nothing seemed to change short of Henry hating her more and more. He simply didn't understand that she was afraid of losing him to that woman and everything she had done to get her here. Here she was the boss and nobody questioned her motives, not to mention the fact that Snow and Charming's happy ending was at an end. A half-win some perhaps would say of Regina especially when the likes of Mr. Gold came into question, finding him to have remembered his name. Course, she wasn't satisfied with the way things were going and at some point attempted to poison Emma with a sleeping curse. The same curse she had once used on Snow all those years ago, which she found quite fitting. Problem was that Henry regretfully ate the apple turnover and fell under its spell disheartening Regina and forcing her to work with Emma to save him. Leave it to Emma Swan to be that very saviour, but more to the point she had saved her son's life.
With it though, everyone's memories were returned which meant that she couldn't stick around. So she took her leave only after ensuring that Henry would be alright. However, that wasn't the only thing that changed with the memories being restored, feeling a shift in the wind once more. It appeared that Mr. Gold had decided to release magic back into the world and that would prove to play an advantage for the fallen villain.
Season 2
With the return of magic, things became a bit chaotic for the town as loved ones struggled to find one another. Regina kept to the shadows of her home, trying to figure out what if anything she could do. Most of the town was looking for someone to blame and that namely fell into her lap considering she had cast it. To make matters worse Gold decided to unleash a wraith on her which nearly killed her had not Emma and Snow come to her aid. Which ended with them both falling into a portal meant for the creature and not for them. Of course, David took to making sure everyone kept to their own business even as things became rather troublesome and people became scared. Course, Regina made the best of the situation, working on getting her magic up to par despite the slight change in being able to control it. At the very least, she managed to get Henry back into her graces even if it proved a costly mistake. If anything, she made the mistake of becoming her mother, something she wasn't sure she enjoyed. Still, trouble seemed to brew around every corner with the return of the Saviour and her mother. It was a short reunion when it was found that Archie had been possibly murdered.
Regina naturally got blamed for the situation and came face to face with her mother and a charming pirate by the name of Hook. She worked alongside her mother as they devised a plan on getting Henry back or so she said. Hook proved relatively useful even if his agenda wasn't quite where they were. It was a good plan until Mary Margaret used some dark magic of her own to kill her mother, tricking her so to speak by giving her a cursed heart. After that, things became rather tense between the two, but Regina was satisfied to see a black spot growing on the young woman's heart. Course, more problems surfaced with Hook shooting Belle and costing the poor girl her memories. Once more allowing Regina to mess with Rumple by giving her a false set of memories while he was otherwise busy. That appeared rather amusing for Regina while she still struggled between both the light and the darkness that coursed through her body. Every time she felt closer to redeeming herself, things kind of fell away from her. Eventually getting kidnapped by two strangers to the town and rescued by Charming and his family once more. Granted, it was a bittersweet rescue when Henry ended up being taken just as the town was made to self-destruct. Together with Emma, they managed to save the town before climbing aboard Hook's ship and setting off to Neverland to find Henry.
Season 3
The battle of Neverland was a hard fought battle right from the start and Regina saw it all. From the mermaids that lurked under the depths of the murky waters to the lost boys ruling the jungles. Even coming across old acquaintances such as Tinkerbell who was stripped of her magic and Ariel who she betrayed. Worst of all was the King of the Jungle, Peter Pan who made sure to make their quest a hard one. Not to mention, trying Regina's patience which had never been one of her strong suite. Still, she tried her hardest to do what she could to help, getting down and dirty with the use of her magic. Through it all, they managed to get Henry back and set sailed for home with help. Course, nobody realized that Henry was in fact Peter Pan in their son's body until it was almost too late. They managed to reverse the body switch, but Pan wasn't going to go down with a fight. In the end, Rumple sacrificed himself to save them from Pan but was unable to prevent the curse that Pan set on them. Still Regina had one trick up her sleeves hoping to show a little selfless attitude in tweaking the curse enough that she could send everyone to the forest.
She had hoped that Emma and Henry would have a good life together, erasing their memories once they crossed the line out of town. Returning to the enchanted forest once again, Regina simply tried to move on with her life. Though it would seem fate would intervene in the form of a handsome man by the name of Robin Hood. By saving his son, Roland from a flying monkey, it would seem these two would be destined to have met. Despite, the fact that Regina made it very clear she had no interest in opening her heart to another, seeing herself only as the evil queen. From there it seemed trouble was only the beginning when Regina's half-sister made an appearance into their lives. Eventually, they were brought back to Storybrooke once again, reunited with Emma and the pirate captain that followed her everywhere. Zelena proved to be a powerful force to be reckoned with and Regina was only too aware of this fact when her magic seemed not quite as powerful of hers. Still she does all she can, including help Emma get a handle on her magical powers and burying her heart somewhere out of reach. Still the gang manages to eventually to bring Zelena down despite the troubles that came from it. Only to find her world with Robin shattered when Emma introduces them both to his supposedly dead wife, Marian.
Season 4
As Regina's love life seems to crumble into little pieces, the danger in the new Storybrooke is just beginning anew in the form of Snow Queen. She, of course, spends her time trying to understand Marian's less than happy greeting towards her, digging up the past memories to get her answers. All while Elsa and her family deal with their own mess of troubles, with Regina chipping in to help at times. She decides to blame the author of the book for the problems with what has happened to her, isolating herself at one point to try and get answers. Henry manages to bring her back around with his persistence in not leaving his mother alone. Eventually, she convinces Henry to help her search for the Author, only to be stopped when Robin calls for her help and sees Mary Margaret has attempted to redesign her office. She tries to help Marian despite her less than happy thoughts about the woman, but it does little. Still, she tries her best, taking Marian's heart out so as to prolong her ability to live until they can find a cure. Granted finding a cure turns up nothing and eventually Regina comes to the conclusion Robin needs to forget about her. To make matters worse, the author decides to put his own spin on things. Putting Regina under a spell, and making her barricade herself to spare everyone she cares about from getting hurt.
More adventures, more heartache and it's never a dull moment for the residents of Storybrooke, let alone the resident Evil Queen. Including the author taking them to an alternate reality, where Robin almost marries Marian once again. Not to mention Zelena comes back in a strange turn of events under the impression of being Marien. Whom she killed and eventually leads Robin on, taking him away from Storybrooke. He eventually comes to his senses and returns to Regina who is rather surprised by the turn of events. A brief sort of union for the two, with Zelena being placed in the psychiatric ward with no magic and the town comes to face it's biggest challenge ever. In a series of events, the darkness in Rumple ends up getting loose in Storybrooke until Regina attempts to step in and take one for the team. However, it is Emma that sacrifices herself for Regina and those she loves, vanishing into thin air and leaving only the dagger behind.

Once more Regina found herself doing what she could for the savior turned Dark One. Even going so far as to return yet again to the Enchanted lands of Camelot to get her back. There the team meets King Arthur and his knights that greet them after the group manage to find Emma before she crushes Merida's heart. Stepping in Regina proclaims herself to be the Saviour and attempts to free Merlin from the tree. Things go awry when Arthur isn't all that he appears to be and seeks the sword and the dark dagger for his own purposes. Worse of all, Emma begins giving into the darkness, despite Regina's constant attempts to keep her spirits up despite nearly losing Robin in the process. Magic mushrooms, betrayal, death, all combine to one ultimate climax when Emma ends up turning Killian into the thing he hates most. Course Regina and the others know nothing when they're returned to Storybrooke, their memories erased in this newest form of Storybrooke. And while she attempts to help the Charmings get back their precious darling, Regina struggles to keep her family together. Of course, everything goes horribly wrong when Killian finally learns the truth and everyone's memories are restored. Eventually, with the end result being Killian sacrificing himself after Regina takes the opportunity to remind him of a painful memory. A rescue mission is proposed by Emma which Regina decides to attend and days later is back in the town that seems to hold an iron grip on them. Regina finally trying to take this time to have her happy ending with Robin. For how long will this peace last remains to be seen.
RP SAMPLE
It had been such a lovely day outside that Regina had decided to call her commanding officer and tell him to get the horses ready. After all, she was a natural horseback rider and she hadn't liked the idea of letting it go to waste. Besides, she had heard things among her guards about a new ship docked in her harbours. So she decided she may as well go investigate and make sure these newcomers didn't cause trouble. Then again perhaps she would find something of interest down there as he left her to gather some men and their horses. When he asked which of her own she wanted to use, she asked for Destiny her beautiful sleek black gelding that she loved with all her heart. Dismissing him, she stalked from the room ignoring her father as he tried to get her to see reason like he always did. She knew that he was only looking out for her and that she loved him in return, but he was such a nuisance at times. Making her way down towards her bedroom figuring she would get changed the old fashion way while her Captain of the Guards attended to the horses. Normally, she didn't allow anyone to touch Destiny given his fiery spirit and special place in her heart. Yet, she was in a bit of a mood and simply wanted to get going as soon as possible.
She couldn't explain her foul mood at the moment considering nothing had been outwardly miserable. For the time being Snow and Charming were miserable and that normally lifted her spirits. At the moment, though, it appeared as though nothing was going to give her some relief. Getting into her riding boots and an outfit that while was proper for riding also offered her a bit of style all the same. A little bit of her poisoned personality leaking into the designs of her outfits as she got dressed making sure she wasn't to be disturbed. For the moment she was quiet as she sat there, brushing her long black hair and taking a moment to reflect on things. She was the type of Queen her mother would probably be proud of and that seemed to sit heavily in her stomach, recalling the times she swore she wouldn't become her. Still, she supposed this version of herself was far better than the one that had sat helpless against her mother. She shook her head, banishing the thoughts from her head as she placed her hair up in a bun. Satisfied, with her wardrobe change she decided to leave the comforts of her bedroom just as her right-hand made his way over to her. A few words were exchanged about the fact that Destiny was becoming a hassle and made haste towards the stables telling him to meet her there.
"What do you think you're doing. Leave him be and I will see to him," snapped Regina bitterly as she stalked towards two of the stable hands while they tried to control the stubborn horse.
"Y-Y-YYes your majesty," stammered one of them as they quickly backed away from the wild steed.
