Elsa returned to Storybrooke as soon as she heard there was trouble. She owed the people of this town a great deal, after they all banned together to help her find her sister, risking more than they had any reason to in order to do it. It allowed Elsa and Anna to return to their lives in their Kingdom, away from all the trouble that had been plaguing them. She would never forget the dangers caused by her own family, and by the terrible power of ice and snow magic.
In a way, maybe she still felt responsible. Like she had more debt to pay, and was determined to do so.
Everyone that lived here, from Emma to all of her lovely family, deserved to be happy and to live in peace. The fact that they could not seem to, that something was always going wrong here, was unfair. If Elsa could help in any way, then she was certainly going to try.
She knew how important family was, and more than that, she understood how deeply powerful friendship could be. It was her turn to show them all the kindness they had shown her.
Except now that she was in town, she wasn't sure where to start.
Walking down the familiar street, she had taken the time to look a little more the part. She wore a modern, simple skirt and top, with a jacket over it. It wasn't for warmth, of course, as the cold never bothered her, but she did notice the last time she was here that Emma wore a jacket quite often, and thought it was one of the more common and accepted outfits. She paused in front of a familiar shop front, looking through the window into the cheery, ice cream laden eatery.
Hesitating, but drawn for a reason she could not quite name, she pushed the door open and let the bells on the door jingle merrily to signal her entrance. She liked ice cream well enough, of course, but it was not the sugary treat that she was coming in for. She remembered all too well who used to work here, feeling a sad pang in her chest when she thought of the family she had lost.
As far as she knew, of course, her aunt was gone.
