EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS, HAPPENS BY DESIGN. FORCES GREATER THEN US CONSPIRE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
Since coming back from the Underworld, Neal had struggled to know where exactly he belonged here now. Neal had only just gotten used to belonging somewhere again, before having to leave it the first time with everyone else. Leaving Emma and his son behind.
Now he was once again back, but, his former feelings of not belonging were coming to the surface. He'd checked back into his old room at the Bed and Breakfast, but, something still didn't feel right.
Neal knew that his family was here, which he didn't mind at all. But, as a whole he wasn't sure whether he was meant to be here in this town. Or where his place was anymore.
There was only one real place where he'd had some sense of belonging in the last, however long it had been. Something that he had been reminded of when he brought all of them here to Storybrooke after Hook stabbed his father with Dreamshade.
That ship of Captain Hook's. The Jolly Roger. He had felt a sense of belonging on that ship, but, he didn't even know if it was still here in Storybrooke anymore. Yes, he'd seen Hook get the Jolly Roger back, but, that didn't mean it was still here.
After getting himself dressed, Neal made his way downstairs from the Bed and Breakfast, and, decided to take a walk to the docks. Neal liked the feel of the wind surprisingly relaxing, reminding him of all those years before.
Soon Neal saw the Jolly Roger up ahead, and, it looked just as he remembered it. Not just from the recent trip to Neverland, but, his first one all those years before.
Neal walked along the dock a bit before running his hand over the old wood of the side of the boat. Noticing Hook, Neal smiled softly before standing upright. "Permission to come aboard captain" Neal said, looking at Hook.
