One of the best thing about winter, even in Regina's opinion, was snow. Not so much for playing in it, although she had done that too, when Henry asked her to. But more for, how it lit up the darkness. It was a cold light, but it was better waking up to that, than waking up to total darkness.
Not that the darkness, was the fist thing Regina noticed, when she woke up in Robin's arms. The warmth of him, wrapped around her, was more than enough to make Regina forget, that she had ever woken up alone in a cold bed. Not even having the thought of Henry to warm herself by.
Regina turned slowly to look at him, by the soft snow-light that seeped through the cracks of the window. He looked at peace, as he slept. Something that was all the more appreciated now, after having been through so much with him. Not just the pain of being separated and the guilt she saw in his eyes from time to time. But also for the trip through the Underworld, that had showed Regina so many of the terrible things she had been through in her life. She had almost lost him, twice in the past couple of months, something Regina had not moved past yet. And she probably wouldn't, not for a while yet. She stayed there, in his arms, just watching him, for a good while yet. Before she slipped out of bed, carefully, so she didn't wake him.
She then sneaked of to the bathroom for a short, but refreshing shower, before she reappeared, dressed in her bathrobe, still with a towel around her hair. Sitting down on the bed, she took down the towel and dried off her hair further. "Robin" Regina whispered softly, leaning down to kiss his cheek. "Time to wake up"
