The wind was a calm one, on the seas it was something she had hoped for. For today she wouldn't have minded a bit of the breeze. Her instincts had never brought her down. The woman knew without a shadow of a doubt just how much could be done in a single action. Of how much she had ruined. All with a choice that was hers alone to make. Time played her to be a fool. The choices she'd made once had been for naught. As it had still cost her the very thing that mattered. Her life. Walking through the town, she had moved towards the docks, watching as the sea moved. The wind in her hair she loved it. It had a gentleness about it. Something she had instantly fallen for.
The moments she spent with Hook were fleeting and ever so brilliant. It wasn't an act, as many would have suggested. Going along with him, despite having been married was quite the little scandal or at least it could have been had she cared. Choosing of course to stand beside Hook was not a difficult one. Though she knew the consequences. She had honestly loved the man probably more than she had ever loved herself. More than she had loved being a wife to Rumple. Choosing a new life without her son was the most difficult thing she could have done. But she would suffer. Suffer a fate worse than death.
After her death the time in the underworld was not wasted. She thought of how it was. Of her time with Killian. The traveling they'd done, although brief. She'd have given it all to spare his. To spare Baelfire's too had she been given the opportunity. But she'd never get that chance. All she had asked was to move forward and never to move backwards. She'd only been in this world for a short while, but the docks were still the most comforting place to be. When her makeshift abode was not too far away. Instincts alone would not prove to be problematic. But the memories of lost love might be. She hadn't been to the docks since coming to this world because while it was a sign of comfort from the past, it also hurt too. Because she'd died at sea, on the Jolly Roger in front of a man she had loved...by a man who was a coward. A coward that he'd kill the mother of his son. But that was all in the past. She had to move forward if she was going to get anywhere in this new world. It was only after walking close to the docks that she spotted a ship...one that was familiar to her. Killian's. The Jolly Roger. The one that had been the place where she had died.
A place that held comfort. And a love that she thought she'd never find. Moving toward the ship, she was poised as she wasn't just going to run right up to it. In case it was owned by someone other than Killian. But how could Killian be there? He had to be though as she'd never seen him in the Underworld. A sigh escaped her lips as she soon found herself near the entrance where it was docked. Just then she heard a noise from behind her, turning slowly she spotted the man she thought she'd never see again. "Killian." Her voice was soft at first. She wanted nothing more than to run to him. To prove that it was her. But did he remember her? Did he even care at all? After all so much time had passed. It was sure to be hard. But this was no trick. She was finally home. And she would have to prove it somehow. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you. I thought I'd never see you again." There was a bit of playfulness to her tone. One that he'd remember if he thought about it hard enough.
She'd give anything to prove that she was who she said she was. "I know you may not remember me, Killian. It's been a long time. But not a day has gone by that I have not thought of you. You and our life together...despite how brief it was." The love she had for him was far more than she could ever describe. Of course she didn't know how to do this. How to prove that it was her. Because after all many would think she was crazy if she went and told them who she was. That she was Baelfire's mother and back from the dead. But she trusted that Hook would know it was her.
