That afternoon he was supposed to spend time with his mother. Sure he'd spent plenty of time over the course of the last few weeks with his maternal family but he felt like he needed to spend time with the mother that had been there from the beginning. Who had always been there for the last fifteen years. Now this wasn't to say that he had favorites, because he didn't. He knew who the good people were and who were the evil ones. And he couldn't count his mother as one of the evils anymore. Because he'd seen her change. Because he'd seen the good things she had done. And continued to do.
Now it was no surprise when he'd learned that she was dating, it kind of caught him off guard. Just as it had when he'd learned his other mother was dating. He didn't have to like it, but he did have to accept it. Though to be point blank honest he'd met Robin and he had to admit he kind of liked the guy, not to mention there was Roland too, whom he already considered like a little brother since he didn't have one. Hook was slightly different but he started to get used to him too. Though neither would have replaced the father he had lost.
But he was going to be able to use all of what he knew to his advantage. He wasn't like any other teenager. Oh no. Who could say they were the son of not only the former Evil Queen, and the Savior, and the son of the Dark One? It was a very odd combination when he had to think about it, but he wouldn't change a bit of it. But no, as he left the Charming apartment he made his way down to the town office, where he had hoped to catch his mother in her office. 'Course he knew that it was either she was there, or at home. But no matter what she'd always made time for him. Anytime he'd asked for it.
A sigh escaped his lips as he finally moved toward the office where his mother worked. Clearing his throat he went to speak to her secretary and before she could stop him he'd opened the door. Where he had caught his mother on the phone speaking to someone. Of course he didn't care what she was talking about. He believed in her, and believed she was doing what she had to do to run the town because it was a daunting and difficult task at times. Even he could see that. But there were many things he had hoped to talk with her. He waited until she finally had hung up before speaking. "Hey Mom." He said with the same grin that was a hereditary trait. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything." He replied, knowing just how busy his mother often was. And the last thing he wanted to do was to make his mother worry about him. After all he had enough people worrying about him as it was, her included!
