Zelena was faced with a dilemma.
On the one hand, she now knew that Baelfire had Rumple's dagger and she wanted it so much she could hardly contain herself. It hadn't taken long to narrow down the list of places he had hidden it. In fact, it was in the first place she looked, his room at Granny's, which wasn't even the best place to keep it. If anyone had been so inclined, and had the magic to sense it, it could have been in their hands and not hers. She looked down at the thing etched with runes so ancient she couldn't place them and Rumplestiltskin etched into the blade. With this she owned him completely. She could have her revenge if she only took it.
And yet...
On the other hand, it was Bae that had it and she had no desire to hurt him. Besides, Mufasa would be hurt if she kept up this course of action. For the first time beneath the maelstrom of hate and revenge another thought was beginning to take root: love. Compassion. Things that, until now, had been entirely foreign to the witch. She still wasn't sure what to do with them. They ran directly contrary to her plans. Not that those plans had ever made her happy. In fact, now that she was trying to be honest with herself the only time she was really happy was when she was with Mufasa. Maybe the only time she had ever been since Rumple had agreed to teach her magic so long ago.
She needed to talk to Neal and asked him to meet her at the Wishing Well. The heart of magic came to Storybrooke through it. It was sort of fitting to talk to him about this in a place that had some sort of significance. Zelena kept the dagger in sight so he knew what he was up against, just in case.
"You really ought to be more careful with this."
