Mina Harker stepped through the double doors of the hospital. It felt strange...knowing she was now two people, realizing her past as Mina, and Scarlett Monroe. Her life as Mina felt like a dream. At first she had thought she was going crazy. She was Scarlett Monroe, a nurse, from little Storybrooke, Maine who had never gone anywhere or done anything remotely interesting or heroic. How could she have this fairytale past as Mina Harker this badass vampire fighting school mistress. It sounded like a dream. It sounded like some bizarre fantasy ripped right from pages like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or something like that.
She trudged through the doors and down the hall at a normal pace, but everything felt as though it moved in slow motion, as she passed the reception desk and gazed into the familiar faces she knew so well: Barbara, Janelle, Mary, and Vera all stood or sat talking about the weather and normal everyday things. Vera, the sassy redhead receptionist was sat there doing her nails like always and sneaking peeks at her gossip magazines while pretending to work. Everything seemed very normal. She sighed heavily and ripped her attention away from them as she continued on towards the changing rooms where she would put away her things and change into her scrubs. At least that is what she had planned on doing.
Her mind was still reeling. If she was really Mina then that meant that there were others. Who would be here in Storybrooke? The last thing she remember was being with Jonathan? Where was her husband? Where was Dracula, had they escaped his clutches? Was he here? And Lucy....and Abigail....
Scarlett placed a hand on the door, but didn't go in. She took a deep breath. Her mind running through everything as if it was a movie reel playing in her head. It was all falling into place now. Her best friend Victor....and then there was......
She looked up and spotted the redhead. Mina didn't even know her feet were moving her until she realized she had walked straight up to the woman. "Abigail," she spoke to the back of the woman's head hoping she would turn around, hoping to the gods she wasn't going crazy, hoping that this was real, hoping that she had been working alongside her best friend Abigail Van Helsing in Storybrooke. "It's me....Mina," she said breathlessly, looking at the other woman with big eyes, it was such a bittersweet reunion.
