Scarlett had just left Granny's with a little bag of pastries tucked under one arm, and a tray with two to-go mugs of coffee balanced in her opposite hand. One coffee was for herself, a chai latte for her, and the other was for Victor. She knew exactly how he liked his coffee and had gotten it just how he liked it.
She trudged through the brisk weather, all wrapped up in her dark blue button down coat and a slouchy red knit beanie adorned her head. The light breeze bit at her cheeks as she went. She made her way to the little park, and to the bench where they often met. It was like any other day, well, any other winter day in Storybrooke. She was excited to hear what news Victor had. She had been nudging the idea of him and Ruby to him for weeks. She wanted to know if he had followed through with it, if he had actually asked her out on a date, and furthermore if he had, how it had gone. Victor Whale and her were the best of friends. It seemed strange really, the two of them, they were clearly quite the opposite in many respects, but somehow they worked well together. Even before the curse broke, Mina, or rather Scarlett, considered Whale to be her best friend, and after it had broken it sort of just remained to be that way. She accepted him fully as Victor the scientist. Everyone had done things, made mistakes in their life, and he was trying to do something good.
She arrived at her destination and slid onto the bench beside the blonde man, "I brought you a coffee and a pastry," she said handing him his coffee and offered him the bag opening it up so that he could peek inside and choose whichever one he desired.
