Life wasn't what she had hoped it to be. There were moments in which things were perfectly good. She had been happy once. Had been in love, and completely thrilled with her family. With--the way things were. Ever since she was a young girl she had always had an adventurous spirit. She loved her husband, and her son. But fighting, was not something she had wanted to do. She had always liked to get out and do things. Not be stuck in one place. Though it wasn't until she married Rumple that she found herself doing just that. Settling down did not ever seem like an even possible thought. She had often kept things to herself.
About her upbringing, how it wasn't exactly as ideal as it once was. Her mother was weak, compared to her father who was stronger and more capable. Their marriage had been turbulent even from an early age. She had often heard their arguments. But still her mother stayed, even though she could've left. It had stayed turbulent until both of them had died. She had been so much like her mother who had wanted to see the world though her own father had been more like Rumple. Having wanted to stay in the same place, forever. She had chosen to leave the home in which she had shared with both her husband and their young son. She had moved through the village, walking quickly to the Tavern.
She'd not seen the ocean much beyond their small port. Taking a deep breath she walked into the tavern. She had gone to get a drink and had barely sat down. Taking a small drink of the brew that was inside the cup, she found herself being bumped into, while she was taking a drink. The man who had bumped into her was trying way too hard to try and clean her up when she didn't want it. His advances were not welcomed in the least. "Leave the lady alone." Was the first voice she heard aside from the other male. But just then a dashingly handsome man hit the other who fell to the ground. It was impressive to say the least. As she knew that well if her husband had been there he wouldn't have done what this man had.
"Thank you, sir." She told the man as she didn't know what to think. She had kept an eye on him. Mostly because she didn't know what to expect. As after all this was the first time any man had helped her in that way. Sure she could have handled it herself but, it was nice to see someone help that wasn't afraid to do so. She had to admit he was attractive. Looking toward him she didn't know how long this interaction would last but she hoped it would be for a while. It would be nice to talk to someone who seemed to be so different from anyone she'd ever known. Time would tell what would happen.
