Belle and her father had a rough road to get to where they were today, from trying to erase her memory so that she would forget about Rumple to where he agreed to be at her and Rumple's wedding. While he still didn't quite understand her, and how she could love 'a beast' like Rumple, they had gotten along. With her mother gone and Gaston who knows where (though hopefully with the return of several departed souls, perhaps her mother could come back, or at least she hoped that her mother was out there somewhere running around alive again), her father was really one of the few ties she had to her life before the Dark Castle. Even with the release of the evils from the Underworld, the people of Storybrooke had lives they had to live, which included her florist father.
Belle had offered to give her father a break and watch over his shop for the day. It wasn't like she would be much help fighting off the monsters in her current condition, seeing as she was pregnant and if he went out there to help them, she would not just put her own life in danger, that didn't matter as much to her, but she'd place the life of her and Rumple's unborn child at risk and she did not want to do that, no matter how much she wanted to be a hero.
Belle put herself to work cleaning up the shop, wiping off the counters, sweeping up fallen dirt from some of the plants. It was as if everything were completely normal, no danger of getting hurt from beings of the Underworld, no threat of that green witch harming her friends, just completely and totally normal. Well, at least for now. Perhaps this little break from reading up in the library would do her some good, work on the issue in the back of her mind while she performed mundane tasks, similar to those she did while she served in the Dark Castle. She didn't mind it, and really it helped settle her thoughts doing something that needn't much thought to do. It was nice to let the worries of the happenings in town be forgotten even if just for a moment.
