Bae hadn't been on this ship, known as the Jolly Roger very long, and, he was also wasn't sure he trusted pirates at all. While Captain Hook had pulled him from the ocean after he dropped out of the shadows grasp. All he knew was that pirates had killed his mother, taking her from him.
For some reason, the demeanor of Hook had changed the moment he told him his name. But, he still wasn't sure why, and, he had no idea what really happened between his parents and Hook.
Bae had seemed to be welcomed on this ship after that moment when they'd introduced themselves. He'd been put into these captain's quarters for now, but, he was unable to sleep.
Images of the Darlings came into his head as he lay there. The faces of John, Michael and especially Wendy. They were probably the last real people who would ever really care about him, or want him in any way.
The feeling of the boats rocking against the waves was making him slightly queazy. Bae didn't know whether the others felt like that on this boat, but, he was sure he would get used to it. Or at least he hoped so.
But, that wasn't why he couldn't sleep. Everytime he closed his eyes all he saw was that moment when his papa let him go. The two of them over that portal, his papa's hand wrapped around his, then he opens his grip and seeing his face as he fell away from him through that portal. Choosing all that magic crap over him.
Bae was still tossing and turning, and, lying there on the bed he was sure he wouldn't be able to get some sleep anytime soon. Sitting upright, Bae grabbed his dressing gown before standing up, and, making his way to the upper deck of the ship.
Looking around, he noticed that no-one else seemed to be awake or up here on this deck. Which didn't bother him because he was used to being alone, and, preferred it.
Reaching the edge of the ship, Bae reached up, and, just glanced out to the sea, letting his thoughts wander as he thought about the events that had led him here, and, what he'd been through. Feeling the tears escape him as he did.
