"Are you sure you want this?" Alice said as she walked the sidewalks of the park, casually like she wasn't nervous about being out in the open. Any second now, something could swoop out of the sky and drag her off. That was absurd. Nothing was going to swoop out of the sky. But Alice just didn't know how to handle these random thoughts that popped into her head. And considering she was talking to a singular daisy in a clay pot in her hands, maybe she was just mad. Only she really wasn't.
"Yes, I'm certain," said the flower in the pot. Alice huffed a breath and glared at the daisy, "You realize that I can't care for you here. You won't be warm. I can't keep the soil firm." She was absolutely not going to come out to the park every bloody day to repack the soil. This damned daisy was just so selfish. She walked a bit quicker as she passed a couple that she didn't know. The daisy leaned to watch the people but it couldn't quite see them around Alice's arm. Ah well.
"Where do you want to be then?" she asked the daisy. Not under a tree. Not near the bench or the pond. There weren't any other flower beds at the moment. "How about near that shrub over there? You'll get sun and you won't be really too noticeable," Alice suggested. That seemed to excite the flower and it bounced a little, "Yes! Perfect!"
Alice huffed a breath and carried the flower pot over to the shrubs. She set the pot down on the ground after kneeling and pulled a spade out of her jacket pocket. She started to dig out a hole for the daisy, "I can't believe you want to do this. This is a terrible idea."
"You can't keep me in a greenhouse forever, Alice, the others want to leave too and see the world!" Alice groaned again, rolling her eyes. She was going to get in trouble for vandalizing the park or something, she knew it.
