After that talk with his father, all Neal wanted to do was just find a place to sleep. Neal knew that after some sleep he should be fine, or at least calmed down a bit.
The walk from his papa's shop to the Bed and Breakfast wasn't a long one, and, he hoped that his room would still be waiting for him. Neal knew that once he died, Granny and Ruby probably cleaned some stuff out, but, hopefully they would have something for him.
All he really needed was somewhere to sleep, which was covered. It would still be better then what he'd had for most of his childhood. And Granny and Ruby had seemed nice.
Reaching the door of the Bed and Breakfast, Neal placed his hood over his head, and, pushed the door open gently. There didn't seem to be anyone at the front desk, which was good as it gave him a minute to breathe.
Placing his hands in his pockets gently, Neal suddenly felt the dagger. He still hadn't believed that his papa had parted with it and given it to him.
Pulling it out for a moment, Neal rested it in his hands, looking at it. It had brought back flashes of his past, mainly of the last times he saw that dagger back in the Forest. Just before they'd made that deal, and, just before he broke their deal.
Hearing someone coming, Neal quickly placed his papa's dagger back into his jacket pockets. It was best not to let people see it, since it meant someone could get it again. Neal wasn't going to let anyone do that, and, he wasn't even going to use it unless there was a need to.
When he looked up, he smiled as he saw Ruby standing there. Of course he'd been expecting Granny, but, it hadn't mattered all that much to him.
Making his way forward, Neal kept his hood on before reaching the desk and clearing his throat. "Um, yeah I'd like a room please." Neal said, as he looked up at Ruby.
