Henry Daniel Mills
PERSONALITY Henry, to put it simply he is a kid. A kid with a vivid imagination and one that doesn't seem to give up when things get tough. He's smart, and crafty. He's honest and kind. He is loyal and giving. He is patient but also wants answers. His strengths of course would be what defines him. He wants to be a hero. He wants to be able to help and not just sit on the sideline. He's addicted to Hot cocoa with cinnamon (apparently a family trait.) He loves toys especially walkie talkies, so that he can communicate with those like his birth mother whenever his mom gets mad at her. He loves exercise and walking Pongo, who is his therapist Archie's dalmation. He's also determined and tries to be patient. He also loves sword fighting with his grandfather. He is very compassionate and determined to succeed. Now as far as bad qualities are concerned he doesn't have too many other than the usual a kid might have. For one thing he does not like to be lied to, and to be basically left in the dark. He's a child that wants love and wants to be accepted for who he is. He doesn't like feeling as though he's not wanted. It was one of those things that caused him to get his storybook in the first place because Mary Margaret felt he needed hope. Which he lacked. Some of his bad qualities are trusting people, although he's ten so he wants to see the good in everyone. He has a hard time opening up to certain people as a result. Though once he trusts you he'll do what he can for you. He has been known to hold a grudge occasionally although that's rare. He hates feeling like he's ordinary when everyone he knows has something special about them. He's not fond of being stuck somewhere and wants to get out and see things. Not be confined in his room because it's where he needs to be. He longs for adventure and to help. He's more mature than most expect and so being treated like he's just some kid that doesn't know anything irritates him. His biggest weakness is also his biggest strength, believing in everyone...that there was good in everyone. That everyone deserved redemption. He can be slightly reckless at times and stubborn. His imagination is one of the biggest strengths he has. Also his ability to sneak out without anyone knowing it. He knows how to cook but he prefers someone else to cook. He's quick thinking- able to think on his feet. He has the heart of the truest believer. He loves the water and swimming. He loves to draw, something that used to occupy the time when he had no one to talk to. He's a giver, and always willing to give and help. His belief in others, that there's always good in everyone is his biggest strength. He is very resourceful but that doesn't mean he's the best fighter out there. He has no magic so he has to rely on his own two hands to do anything. Now he has more than enough love for everyone in his life but he will do what he has to do to ensure the safety of others. Though he's not a mastermind like his mother is. He doesn't have a dark bone in his body. HISTORY Henry Daniel Mills wasn't always Henry Daniel Mills. From the moment he was born on August 15,2001; he was given up for adoption by his birth mother Emma. Not long afterwards he was put in an orphanage. As he had been born in a prison in Phoenix since his birth mother had been an inmate there. His first few weeks of life had been spent alone and without a doubt unaware of the things going on around him. Unaware that he was the child of a very special woman. Of course he was taken from Phoenix to Boston as he was going to be with a family there but at the last minute plans changed and he was available for adoption again. The moment that Regina Mills came to the orphanage it all came to fruition. He would be adopted. Regina would give him the name Henry Daniel. Henry after her late father and Daniel after her first true love. Though he would not stop crying as babies were prone to do. So Regina was getting very upset with her little prince. It was only when he was placed in the arms of Mary Margaret that he finally stopped crying. No one could really explain why of course. He had been a very fussy baby, almost enough to make Regina give him back to the agency she had gotten him from. The reason she had wanted to give him up is because he was so fussy and because she'd discovered from Sydney that his birth mother was the child that eighteen years previously had been abandoned due to the curse. But when they had travelled to Boston at the last minute she just couldn't give him up realizing she loved him too much to let him go. After they returned to Storybrooke she took her little prince down to her vault and made a potion to forget what she'd learned about his birth mother. To give her some peace of mind. Through the years he was raised as a normal kid. His favorite thing in the entire world was hot cocoa with cinnamon. A drink that he'd favored. He'd started drinking it at the diner once. Fell absolutely addicted to it, it's the one thing he drinks every time he's inside the diner. But as the years of course had progressed he attended school and did all the things that small children do. But things at home were not ideal by any means. His mother was always busy and tried to limit what he did. Not only that but she did not like him having any kind of an imagination at all. He felt very unloved and unappreciated at home. Which was affecting both his grades as well as his demeanor at school. He was almost withdrawn at the least when his teacher Mary Margaret sits down with him to talk. He tells her about how he felt unwanted by Regina and even more sad because he was adopted so obviously he wasn't wanted there. To cheer him up she had given him a book of fairy tales believing there should always be hope. It is when he flips through the pages that he vaguely saw a picture of a princess that was identical to Mary Margaret. It's this that gives him something to believe in again. So he sought to try and figure out how and why that's even possible. That's when he realized the town was cursed. Of course he had to hide it from Regina of course as she'd put him in therapy far more often than she originally had him in it for! The more he studied the book the more he realized that the reason why the town seemed the same each and every day with nothing changing was because the town was cursed as was the inhabitants of it. And the only reason he wasn't affected was because he wasn't born in the place where they were cursed from. So he decided after discovering that his mother was in fact the evil Queen, that he decided to 'steal' his teacher's credit card and used it to go online to track down his birth mother. Knowing she was the only one who could help him. Tracking his birth mother down was not exactly that hard of course, he found her in Boston. Bringing her back of course was not exactly easy but it was done. The moment that she accepts to take him home, he tells her things. Things about the curse and all that and how she was his birth mother. That she was supposed to save the town of Storybrooke. And him. Of course she didn't believe him. After all he was just a kid. Most adults didn't believe him either. Of course when they get back to Storybrooke, Emma takes him back to his house, and of course he hopes and prays that Emma doesn't leave town. He wanted more with her, more time. They began to spend time together after class. And eventually she was able to see the truth. That he was being honest and not lying about everything. It was when he was "dying" because of a poisoned turnover, one that was meant for his birth mother....she began to see the truth. It took of course helping other people in town, discover who they are, that maybe Emma could see the truth and break the curse. She did by using "true love's kiss". Once the town and everyone in it reverted back to their "real" selves that was when the challenge began. What could change in a town that hadn't aged in twenty eight years? After the curse had broken, it had caused several different things to happen. Things that he couldn't very well explain. Because of everyone re-learning who they were, it was sheer chaos. But that didn't stop the hoard of people who wanted to kill or at least hurt his adoptive mother. He had begged Emma and the others to try and help her, because he believed that deep down there was some good in her. It was also during this time that a wraith was released (by Mr. Gold, though whether anyone was in knowledge of that, was unknown.)Because of what happened after Emma and Mary Margaret were sucked into the hat's portal he and Ruby go find his grandfather. And when they do he sees something he wished he never saw. His adoptive mother strangling his grandfather and for that he calls her the "Evil Queen" that he had known her to be. Once his grandfather is released he and his grandfather leave and he starts living at the apartment with his grandfather instead of going home as his mother would have wanted. It later becomes known that if anyone leaves Storybrooke that their memories of their lives in the Enchanted Forest would be lost to them forever. So that alone creates panic on top of the fact his adoptive mother has her magic back. And when she comes to terrorize the town, he steps up and decides to return home with her. Already unhappy with the situation he goes into his room and locks the door. He had planned to escape out of the window but when he realized he couldn't because of a spell his adoptive mother had cast it only made him even more frustrated. And when she finally did come to talk to him he tells her that it's her fault that he was made to appear to be crazy when he knew the truth about the town and everyone in it. And even though she tells him that he can learn magic too, he denied it. He didn't want to become like she was. Eventually he's allowed to leave his room and the home and leaves with David because she finally has spoken how she wanted him to be there because he wanted to be. Not because she was forcing it upon him. Before he leaves she makes a promise to redeem herself. And to be worthy of his love. After which they go to the diner and he's able to tell Marco of his son's identity. He wanted to see people get their happy endings with the people they loved. What really makes him upset is when he wanted to help get his biological mother and grandmother back. But his grandfather makes him go to school, so after his grandfather is out of sight he does what he always does and skips school. Because he knows how important it is that they're returned to not only him but to the town as well. He tracks down Jefferson and tells him that he needs to find Paige, his daughter. After several other incidents, his grandfather finds him down in his adoptive mother's fault about to be attacked by poisonous vipers. It's then that he's able to admit that he wants to find his mother and grandmother. And that he misses them so much. So it's then when his grandfather finally has to admit that they need to work together instead of separately so his grandfather decided that he needed to be trained up a bit like a real prince. The two use wooden swords hand have a little duel. Later he goes to the mines to help the dwarves get to the fairy dust which was their only solution to get the members of his family back. Afterwards he was taken by his grandfather to the stables. Where it's revealed that his grandfather got him a horse. He's promised to take care of it and maintain it. But when a man who was dead (Daniel) arrived in the stables and began to scare the horses, he attempts to help. But this does no good and he's later nearly strangled by the man. If it hadn't been for his grandfather he would have succeeded. He begins to have nightmares of a room that was in flames. Unaware as to why, or how....but little did he knew that this mirrored someone else's dreams. Eventually after he's burned his adoptive mother goes to Gold for help and he's given a necklace that will allow him to control his actions in this nightmare. After meeting Aurora and trying to make contact with her about his mother and grandmother, it becomes too dangerous after he's burned again. His grandfather takes his spot in the sleeping curse. While he's sleeping, he rushes off to see what Gold and his adoptive mother are doing only to find them in the midst of doing everything they can to rid their town of the upcoming problems with Cora, who was his adoptive mother's mother. The thing they cast was going to kill anyone who came through the portal. This upsets the boy greatly and he begs them to end it before it can begin. Because he has a strong belief that it'll be the members of his family not Cora that will come through the portal. His adoptive mother says that she is just trying to protect him but he doesn't think that's the only reason. She however does lift her magic and his family members do step through the portal. He's never been happier to see them. Afterwards they celebrate at the diner. And while many more trials and tribulations were to come up, with Archie having vanished and was believed to be dead. To having a man show up which leaves room for curiosity because strangers don't come to Storybrooke or at least they never have till now. After some time Archie was found and told them how Cora was the reason for it. And he felt bad because they'd all blamed his adoptive mother for Archie's murder. And when it comes to the realization that Dr. Whale isn't in the book as Frankenstein, it made him more aware that people from other stories could be in the town too. But alas, soon he as well as his mother and Gold are on their way to find Gold's son. Taking them all the way to New York. A place he never could have dreamed of. It's here that he's in utter shock when they all learn that Baelfire, Gold's son was the man that his mother had been with at the time that he was conceived. Making Baelfire his father! He wasn't angry when he got the chance to meet the man. "It's okay, you didn't know." That's what he told his father. Their bond would grow rather quickly but it also would require his father making the journey with them back to Storybrooke, which he does. It's also during this time that Gold's attacked by a pirate named Hook and he's left with needing treatment. So he watches as his parents tend to Gold's injuries since it was kind of one of those things that would be hard to explain to a hospital. Returning home to Storybrooke, he and his father are able to navigate and steer the Jolly Roger, Hook's ship. Once home things get a little more complicated. As he once again has to tell his adoptive mother not to place a curse on him that would make him "love" her. As it wouldn't be a true love. Just fake....and eventually she burns the parchment the curse was written on. On another outing with his father the two practice with the wooden swords which he had to admit was fun. So much that it wore him out by the end of the day. But life moved forward. Soon it was believed that his father was dead because Tamara attacked him and he went through a portal wounded. And although he's safe with his family it also meant that Tamara and Greg were planning to erase the town of Storybrooke and it's inhabitants forever. It takes using both his adoptive mother and mother to stop it before it could succeed. And while many other events occurred, the one that was the most tragic and life altering was when he was taken by Tamara, his father's fiancée, and her partner Greg, and sent to Neverland. It's here where he meets Peter Pan, although not as friendly as one would think. He does things that he normally wouldn't do. As he has the heart of the "truest believer". He does what he does, because he wants to be seen as a Hero not someone who is on the sidelines. After Pan takes his heart, and he's defeated he's brought back to life as it were and is reunited with his family. But at a cost. Both Greg and Tamara as a result lose their lives. As a result of a curse that was caused by Pan before his "death" cause his adoptive mother to do something that she didn't want to do. Alter the memories of both mother and son so that they wouldn't remember Storybrooke or having ever been apart. The one thing they do both remember is a fire in an apartment in Boston which was why they were moving to New York to begin with. It's during this time that they were there a year and that his mother had been dating Walsh for 8 months. It's believed that Walsh is going to propose to his mother which he didn't see as a bad thing. That night his mother and Walsh were going to have a date so he had prearranged to sleep over at a friend's house. The next morning when he arrives home it's discovered that his mother didn't get proposed to. And that they were going to be leaving town because she had to help a client "Killian." back in his town of Storybrooke. It's during this time of course that he's able to reunite with his grandparents whom he knew only as his mother's friends. It's only after being given back the Storybook that his memories are restored. And it's during this time that his father actually is killed though because his mother eventually opens up to the fact that the whole reason they came to this town was so she could save their family. Eventually though that curse was broken, it becomes more chaos. Many things happen and as a result he gets to be able to be introduced to his adoptive mother's new boyfriend, Robin Hood as well as the man's son. It's during this time that he's also to meet his new uncle, as his grandparents were going to have a baby, one of the things that happened as a result of a year without memories. After some time he learns that the new baby would be named Neal after a true Hero. After of course finding out that Robin, had hurt his adoptive mother she doesn't want to see him and therefore it crushes his heart. Eventually things pass on as they should and he's allowed to see her again. One thing more has him completely surprised although he may not like it, he learns that his mother and Hook have started a relationship. And that during this time they had to deal with the Snow Queen who as it turned out was his mother's foster parent. There was a curse for Shattered sight. That the Snow Queen made and once it was destroyed he is able to be reunited with both his mothers and the rest of his family though he increasingly shows Hook that he does not much care for the man. It would take time to learn to trust him. After the chaos of Shattered sight, he's barely getting things back to normal when more bad guys emerge. "Maleficient, Ursula, and Cruella." This isn't to say that these three were any normal villains. Oh no. Each had their own back story and were just as crazy as the next. It took many things to get peace restored back to their own little town. It's also during this time they search for the author who has the ability to alter one's past. To create a new future. Which in theory sounds like a good idea but even that can't bring back the dead. After some time, and a lot of hard work he helps to save their town after the villains take the book and attempt to make things better for themselves at the cost of everyone around them. In the end of it the Author dies and he's to become the next author though he realizes the power of messing with one's fate and breaks the pen as he realizes that no one should have that kind of power. And if all that isn't chaotic enough, soon darkness would overcome the town. Forcing his mother to make a choice, to go from being the Savior to the Dark One. And she would not be the only one. Hook too would join in her darkness. Although neither were as dark as they could have been as they fought it themselves. And while it took time for the darkness to be destroyed at a cost of Hook's life. The family goes to the Underworld where soon they would find people from various points in their lives who had been lost to them. Cora, Baelfire, and many others were here. Including Hook. Now back in Storybrooke their lives would continue to unfold, as the story was far from over. RP SAMPLE The ten year old boy couldn't imagine the kind of life that his mother, Regina, was having to deal with. He'd read the story book that his favorite teacher, and now as it turned out his maternal grandmother had given him. He knew that in the book that Regina was the Evil Queen, and while it was obvious that the fear could be natural for those in town, he wasn't afraid. She'd never hurt him at least not deliberately, even if for a while she had him think that he might be a bit crazy. But it was only because she was trying to protect him. That was what he had to think. But he'd also been able to sense that there was something more to it than that when he'd brought Emma, his birth mother back to town with him. He knew that neither one of his mothers were quite....ready to accept having to be around one another. Which he couldn't imagine was easy. As it meant he would be in the middle. Nothing of which he cared about. But as the curse had broken thanks to his birth mother, he also knew that there would be dangers for his adopted mother. The woman who had in effect raised him ever since he was a small infant. He left the book in his bedroom under his pillow as he walked down to the kitchen. It was early morning but ever since the curse had broken he'd not seen his mother really leave the house except when she'd been able to sneak away to go to her office. It was a shame really. Was he mad at her? No. Should he be afraid? No. But he was so sick of knowing that on the outside everyone seemed to deem his mother as something much worse than the Evil Queen. That she didn't deserve anything, much less to live. He'd heard it, throughout town how they thought she was so bad that there was no reason to spare her. And of course there were few in town, his maternal grandparents and his mother would ensure that he, along with Regina would be safe. That morning was the first morning in a while that he'd actually slept in his own bed at the house he had grown up in. As right after the curse he'd gone to go see his grandparents and practice sword fighting with his grandpa. But that didn't mean just because he had more family members, that he was against the woman that raised him. No, he just wanted to make sure she was as alright as always. Even though for the longest time he'd doubted, and now it hurt to think about, that she might not have loved him at all. After being in the kitchen maybe a few minutes, having poured himself a glass of milk did he hear the steps of heels coming his way. It meant his mother was awake and probably hoping to get a cup of coffee. What he would have loved right now was a good cup of hot cocoa but there wasn't any here. He'd have to go to Granny's later and grab a cup but right now his main concern was his mother. He wanted to spend the day with her...if she'd let him. "Mom?" The boy had asked as he finally looked over to the kitchen door to see the Madame mayor standing there. "Are you okay? Did you sleep any last night?" He knew his mother like no one else did. Plus he couldn't help but having heard her move around the house after he'd been sent to bed once she'd tucked him in. |
