Leandros/Arno Dorian
John Corinth
PERSONALITY John is very witty, intelligent and clever. And is really good at using it to his advantage. However, there is much that is also different from his counterpart. John is a just man, who is constantly battling tyranny. John believes that no man should have to answer to tyrants, and battles for anyone who can't physically stand for themselves. Or for the oppressed, who have little to nothing to fight back with. In a nutshell, he's a man of the people, always sticking up for the little man. HISTORY Born Prince Arno (or Leandros to his mother) of Corinthia to the Goddess Aphrodite and King Leon IX, Arno was the middle child of the House of Dorian, the Corinthian Royal Family. Early on through his childhood, Arno was educated early on and much to his mothers chagrin arranged to marry a Princess in a far kingdom. Which whom he quickly fell in love. His teenage years were rather quiet, and he built his intellect and studied profusely throughout the years given to him. And later on, was named to be his fathers successor with persuasion from his mother. Which caused jealousy in his mothers eyes. On the eve of his 21st birthday, the people began to revolt, stirred up in anger took his parents from their beds. Arno escaped barely, only to travel to the catacombs and meet up with a Dark Power who later helped Arno become the man he is now. Striking a deal with the man, Arno was transported to safety and pointed in the right direction to a man whose reputation was all but lost. The man trained Arno for years until Arno became well balanced in the ways of the Assassin Order. Arno would spend the last few years before the curse working towards his goal of reuniting with his betrothed. Taking contracts including multiple bounties, one of which included Snow White’s although he later had a change of heart. Arno garnered reputation, with his mentality that men should be free he fought for the liberties of men and women alike. Arno battled tyranny and his name became one of hope and fear depending on which side you were on. And Arno literally left a mark on his enemies. A time of revenge was ever on Arno's mind, he was wronged by his brother. A man he once trusted and looked up to, killed his family in cold blood. And to him, that made a tyrant. The man he once knew as Anton was gone, he died when jealousy took over after the drama that ensued with the succession fiasco in their family. From then on, he was focused on ending the shadow of a man he loved. One day in his travels, in his path lied a sword. The markings and wear told a story. But when Arno lifted it, he felt a sense of renewed vigor. Like he couldn't be stopped. Arno had the Sword of Peleus in his possession, and while he carried it. He was for a time, unstoppable. Using it only once to end the life of the shell that was once Anton. And horrifying a small boy of only 7 years old in the process. The only time that Arno had ever had any contact with his nephew. During his time as an assassin, he did favors for the Dark One, Regina Mills, and anyone else who would hire him. Before the Dark Curse hit, Arno had finally raised enough funding to make his trip to reunite with his betrothed. As much as he hated the money and wished he could give it to the poor, he knew that he would be able to do so much more with the now 24 year old princess. Arno parted ways with his allies, unaware that he would be delayed once again in returning to his love. The clouds enveloped him, and just like that, he was carried to a new realm. With no memories of his past, and with the fake ones that were placed in his mind. Arno believed himself to be a well brought up man by the name of Jonathan Corinth, and had a reputation in town of being one of the most wealthy residents. Still retaining his humble nature and his love for the people, Arno was placed as the principal of Storybrooke Elementary and kept to himself most days. Regardless, he made generous donations to the town and improved the school when he found necessary. When the Savior arrived in town, he felt a keen interest as the town didn’t really have too many visitors as much, save the exception of a boy and his father during the 1980s. John kept a close eye on the mysterious stranger whom he later found out was Emma Swan. John didn’t really change until the first curse was broken, and upon regaining his memories he began to feel the full effects of his curse. And locked himself away for weeks due to realizing that his hopes of returning to his betrothed had probably been crushed. And fell into a deep depression until he found that magic had returned along with the curse being broken. Although he lost his sense of hope, he knew there was a larger goal. The newly reborn Arno Dorian assisted with tracking down lost family members, and continued his job as he felt that he was going to be here a long time. But the full man had returned. With a renewed vigor, the man continues to lead the school, be active in the community, and attempts to once again reconnect with the life he had, and once again use it for the benefit of others. RP SAMPLE Staring out the window and into the town, John felt himself once again daydreaming and contemplating his past. A lot had happened in his life as the feared Assassin, and while he had a good heart throughout, he had to make a living somehow. He remembered the faces of his targets, and they haunted him. Sure, there were times when deals were given in exchange, and gold too. But it all began to weigh on the mans conscious. His eyes gazed out over towards the town square, and peeking through some of the buildings were the lining of the forest trees. He began to remember how he used to climb. Snapping out of it, he smelt the familiar smell of Granny's pulled pork sandwich with onion rings. John gave a light smile and a nod to the waitress. Staring at his food for a little while, he felt his stomach grumble and finally he began to eat calmly. The taste of barbecue sauce greeting his taste buds. And just like that, he began to forget about his past for that small moment. Nothing could bother him at the moment. Unless someone bothered him, in which case he would more than likely be bothered. Then angry. |
