It was starting to become very clear to Rumplestiltskin that he had brought back more than he had intended on when leaving the Underworld with the heroes. In his attempt to save them from being trapped down there, he inadvertently allowed many of the formerly dead inhabitants a pass back to the world of the living. That much had already been confirmed with his seeing his beloved son again. Nothing to worry about there, of course. It was the happiest moment of his life learning that his son was back with them again, too.
But it did beg the question- who else came back?
Naturally, Rumple wasn't the kind of go with the flow. He immediately started to investigate. Make sure that nothing terribly evil, like Pan, had come through those gates with them. So far, he hadn't seen any hint of his father lurking around, but he had noticed a certain ice cream shop seemed to be open for business again.
Ingrid was back.
Now, he wouldn't say he thought Ingrid was going to be trouble. Sure, her powers were impressive and she definitely had it in her to cause a lot of chaos on a spell front, but if she had really intended on hurting anyone, she likely already would have tried. Ingrid had tried to be subtle with her actions in the past, but it wasn't suited for her. She was much better at working while everyone knew she was up to no good, as she was proficient enough in her skill set to continue without anyone being able to do anything about it. She definitely struck him as someone who would go for Emma immediately, either to have revenge or rekindle her crazed sisterhood plan from before. He had learned that she'd cancelled her own curse in the end, at the cost of her life. Perhaps that meant she had found some kind of peace, calming her desire to cause suffering in others.
Still, he ventured into the shop, just to check in. Since he was supposed to be doing the hero thing now, it made sense to make sure she wasn't just buying herself some time. He stepped into the ice cream parlor, looking around at the familiar little place. Belle had loved the ice cream there at one point- she would often come to get some when Rumple was working.
"Well, I never thought I would see this place back in business," he commented somewhat loudly, clearly to attempt grabbing the attention of the proprietor.
