Everything that happens, happens by design. Forces greater then us conspire to make it happen

eal had the day off of work today, so he decided to grab some lunch at Granny’s before going to do the couple of odd jobs that he had to finish in some houses. Including the Bed and Breakfast. In a way that was how Neal paid his rent for the room, even if they insisted on paying him something anyway. He didn’t complain though, because money was money.Entering the Diner, Neal smiled softly at Granny and Ruby before waving and taking a seat not too far from the doorway of the booth. Neal held the menu in his hands before looking at a text on his phone, telling him the details of the latest job he’d just been hired to do.
He pulled a notepad out of his bag, and, quickly wrote it down just in case his phone was dead when he needed to find the information. Neal was still surprised at the kind of life he’d started here in this town, having a steady-ish job, and, a place to live made him feel like maybe he’d found his place in this world after all.
Neal still had some fears that he’d be sent back to the Underworld once Hades got his way here, and, went after the souls that escaped. But, he was getting past them for the sake of living his life without being in constant fear, for the first time in a while.
Placing his phone, and, his notepad back in his bag Neal glanced around the Diner before looking at one of the waitresses coming up to him. “Um, I’ll take a hamburger with the lot, and a hot cocoa thanks” Neal said, smiling at her before handing her the menu.
Neal rested his hands on the table as he tapped his fingers on it gently. Waiting for his order, Neal looked out of the window, just to see if the town was different since he’d left. There had been a whole nother two curses and a new Dark One since, but, somehow the town had stayed in one piece.
