Sometimes she really very much missed being in the Looking Glass if only because she could cross the entire realm in an instant. One step and she could be wherever she wanted. Sometimes two were required depending on the direction she wanted to go but that was entirely beside the point. She couldn't do that here, couldn't do it in any realm but the Looking Glass. But it would have really helped her quite a lot.
See the fact of the matter was that her car had decided to go kaput in front of Granny's Diner. That didn't change the fact that she had to go all the way to Game of Thorns to pick up some soil. There was a reason why she kept a little red wagon in her boot though, when it came to getting a lot of things. It was just a very long walk for someone who didn't enjoy being out of her house much.
But by the time she got back to her little blue Gremlin, her arms were tired from dragging a wagon full of 140 pounds of soil in 20 pound bags. She opened the boot and stared at it. How was she going to do this? She needed to fit the soil bags and the wagon in the back of her tiny car. The easiest way would be to lift the wagon with the dirt in it but she couldn't very well manage 140 pounds plus the wagon in one go. That wasn't going to stop her from trying though.
Steeling herself, Alice grabbed the back of the wagon and started heaving it upward as best as she could. But almost immediately soil bags started to slip and slide. She dropped the wagon with a soft shout of dismay, reaching out to balance the bags so they didn't fall and bust. Of course that meant that the wagon wheel landed on her foot which made her yelp even louder. "Son of a..."
