There was no point in discussing these things with him. He clearly didn't care what she thought about this. Or whether she understood his actions. "Fine." She would remain mum on the subject. Because there was no point in making things worse with her ex-husband. Of course, she was upset that he was so angry with her for having left him and their son but at the same time hadn't he just said he had done the same thing? Made little sense to her but she did not dare question it. Because she could sense that he was genuinely upset that he had. The kind of regret that she often felt but never could put into words.
Of course as she watched as he had explained about the curse she nodded. "Ah, yeah. The other person had to have something they wanted to get out of it in order to want to help. And what better way than to kill two birds with one stone." It sounded just like him though, making puppets of other people. Namely people she hadn't known nor cared to know. "Did she ever find out you did have your memories?" She was slightly curious. But then when he had spoken about the heroes. "I should've phrased that a little better I suppose. Destiny may work in mysterious ways but it always works." That was something she'd learned right before she'd died. She wouldn't tell him that the plan itself was brilliant as she knew he would not care either way whether she complimented him on something or didn't.
She took another tea, not drinking it all that fast because she wanted to savor it. Having not had any real tea in years it felt nice on her throat. Clearing her throat she finally felt the need to speak. "Why did your father go through all the trouble to attack everyone like that, most of all Bae and....his son? Was it hard? Using the dagger, knowing that the reprecussions would be you would lose your life too? Hard to imagine that Bae's old enough to have a kid himself. Just shows how much I have missed." She said the last part softly, to where most people wouldn't hear it. Though if Rumple did, oh well.
She grew quiet when he had mentioned how their son had died. "Of course he wanted you back, Rumple. You're his father, the only parent he really knew. I can only imagine what that's like....knowing that someone you loved, died in your arms the way that our son died in yours." She frowned as she was deeply upset by hearing this, though it wouldn't matter. Most people would think she was over reacting anyway because she hadn't been a real parent to Baelfire, not in the way that she should have been. She blamed herself for the way things went with both Rumple and with Baelfire. If she had just stayed with them when she had a chance, perhaps things would have gone differently though it would have meant that they wouldn't have had their grandson Henry. She could almost feel the devastation when she listened to him, how the regret seemed to drip from his tounge. "Well, time usually is needed to heal wounds, especially ones as tragic as the ones we've all encountered at one time or another, you and Bae especially. The most important thing, is you didn't give up on him." She replied, knowing that she had done a horrible job as a parent and didn't deserve to even be called one as she had not acted the part after having met Killian.
